Starting in the military back in 2009 as a Diesel Mechanic and seeing a shortage of manpower and a need for someone with generator knowledge to assist the Electricians Mates, Crystal cross-trained in shipboard industrial electrical and served as one of the shipboard Repair Party Electricians for three years while aboard the USCGC Forward in Portsmouth, Virginia.

After returning home, she became a field technician at a natural gas pipeline company. Over the almost eight years working there she trained across the country with electronic instrumentation and controls, measurement, and cathodic protection systems.

Wanting to learn more, she left to begin her state-level certifications with residential and commercial electrical work.

She is currently a licensed Limited and Journeyman electrician and loves the problem-solving and diversity that this trade presents.
